(prHWY.com) May 22, 2012 - Portland, OR -- Portland, OR (April 5, 2012) - RiverWest Acupuncture is offering the kind of acupuncture Portland residents can take advantage of to relieve stress and to help them relax. Aptly called Relational Acupuncture®, this RiverWest therapeutic treatment is performed in a warm, collective setting where patients are encouraged to share their life goals and desires.
It typically involves several sessions, bringing together a small group of individuals once a week for either six or eleven weeks. Participants are asked to set specific intentions for the series of sessions. They will then share their progress over the weeks and watch how their fellow participants turn their intentions and goals into reality. For many, it is truly a life-changing experience.
Beginners are asked to join the Foundational series which brings up to five patients together for six shared sessions. Each of the participants will be provided with an introduction to the Relational Acupuncture® process. Once a patient has successfully completed the Foundational series, he or she becomes eligible to join a series of eleven advanced sessions which involve deeper learning.
Relational Acupuncture® differs from the typical acupuncture Portland patients may have experienced in the past. It revolves around the idea that the healing power of the traditional acupuncture is magnified exponentially when coupled with positive intentional thoughts and statements from a group that can treat or inspire a particular patient.
This Relational Acupuncture® treatment is the brainchild of RiverWest founder Lisa Francolini, a licensed acupuncturist Portland patients can trust. Traditional acupuncture is elevated into a whole new level of effectiveness with this new method of treatment.
RiverWest Acupuncture also offers other therapeutic acupuncture sessions such as individual acupuncture and community acupuncture as well as acupuncture for children and veterans. Although they use acupuncture and Chinese herbs in most of their treatment sessions, they also make use of cupping, moxabustion, acupressure, and Qi Gong.
