THE GREAT WHITE SHIRT

(prHWY.com) May 31, 2012 - Watford, United Kingdom -- British shirtmaker Emmett London, famous for slim fit shirts is releasing a new 'WHITE CORE' collection in celebration of the Great White Shirt -- designed to showcase the versatility of the classic wardrobe staple.

Built from a variety of the company's most prized Italian fabrics, the collection includes everything from a superfine poplin to a highly textured luxury panama -- and features an array of collar and cuff styles.

Inspired in part by the work of the artist Robert Ryman, who for much of his career has chosen to paint simply the colour white, the WHITE CORE explores the elegant simplicity and versatility of the white shirt.

The Emmett WHITE CORE collection is now available online and in the company's three London stores.

BACKGROUND

Emmett was founded in 1992 by tailor Robert Emmett. With stores on London Jermyn Street & best known for slim fit shirts, single cuff double cuff, cord shirts, & single cuff shirts, Jermyn Street Stores of Emmett uses the finest fabrics available and makes all its seasonal designs in ultra-limited editions (typically, 25 of each seasonal shirt). As well as ready-to-wear shirts and men's accessories, Emmett offers a Made to Measure service, producing handmade custom shirts, suits, casual jackets and trousers to specification.
