Awards will be presented in a number of categories, including Fundraiser of the Year, Services to Spinal Injury and Services to Volunteering, in front of an audience of individuals with experience of living with spinal cord injuries, staff, volunteers and supporters of the charity.

Each winner will receive a unique wooden sculpture, designed and created by Ike Curran, founder of Wheelchair Woodturners, a not for profit organisation created to help and advise disabled people in learning a new craft or skill.

John Clark, Chair of Spinal Injuries Scotland will be joined by Robert Swanney, Partner and Head of Digby Brown's Spinal Injury Unit, and an internationally recognised expert in the field, to welcome guests and present some of the awards.

Speaking ahead of the event, John Clark said;

"This is a very important event for all of our members and volunteers. The event is our way of recognising the special contribution that they make. Spinal Injuries Scotland would not be able to do what we do without our benefactors, Digby Brown, staff, patrons and, of course, our volunteers."

Robert Swanney added;

"At Digby Brown, we are reminded every time we visit someone in hospital who suffered a spinal cord injury through no fault of their own, that it is our job to help them achieve full and prompt compensation but also to help them in all areas of their recovery. Spinal Injuries Scotland does fantastic work and we are delighted to offer them our ongoing support."
