In light of this, emerging markets have extensive plans to grow their nuclear facilities, which will benefit uranium miners, believes Cekerevac.
According to the editor, last year's Japanese disaster hurt mining stocks for investors interested in uranium. Short-term moves can hurt total portfolio returns if they are only temporary. For those with a bullish view on uranium investing, Cekerevac suggests that you start to research and have a watch list of mining stocks for future accumulation.
According to the Penny Stock Detectives article, in June of this year, one of the more interesting mining stocks is Ur-Energy. The company has a mine in Wyoming that is expected to start construction to start this summer. This means the company is that much closer to being cash flow positive.
Mining stocks in general have been hit this past year with high levels of volatility. Uranium investing through junior mining stocks can be fraught with danger, but also offers large upside potential, notes Cekerevac.
Cekerevac says he would wait for construction to begin for this firm and a clearer timeline to full production before stepping into Ur-Energy. He would also wait for the downdraft in the price to subside before committing funds. While Cekerevac wouldn't jump in on this name right now, he would keep his eye on Ur-Energy when looking at uranium miners.
