A welcoming atmosphere makes this old French-style bathroom a real winner
Apaiser's beautiful Emerald bath is freestanding. It's made from reconstituted marble, so is environmentally friendly, and is the star attraction. It also perfectly complements the pair of matching Emerald basins.
(prHWY.com) June 15, 2012 - Richmond, Australia -- The previous bathroom in this home was renovated way back in 1983 and it showed. The space boasted a large, brown corner spa boxed in with a timber veneer vanity and corner shelving unit. It also included a scalloped toilet and cistern and shower recess with burgundy tiles, brass fittings, polymarble base and mosaic floor. The original renovation had converted a toilet room and shower cubicle and taken a section of another room to create the one room.

The brief from the owners was for the room to have an old French feel with ample light, hence the selection of the classically shaped Apaiser Emerald bath and basins. A soft-toned white was selected for all surfaces to enhance the brightness of the room. Ample free walking space in and around the room was another must, as was a pleasing balance to the room and its fittings.

Due to past works and the dimensions of the new window, considerable re-bricking was required to transform the space. The design also needed to showcase the feature Apaiser bath and basins, while all items needed to be carefully placed to maintain floor space. The new space is a triumph of good design.

Apaiser's beautiful Emerald bath is freestanding. It's made from reconstituted marble, so is environmentally friendly, and is the star attraction. It also perfectly complements the pair of matching Emerald basins. The lime-washed Tasmanian oak vanity has been custom-built to the owners' specifications and the vanity top is grey sandstone. The new large window lets in plenty of natural light to brighten up the space and create a welcoming environment.

But what pleases most is that this bathroom is an extension of the look and ambience created in the rest of the home when it was recently decorated. It has ample light, is easy to maintain and does not feel blatantly new.
