Land Surrounding Area 51 Up For Sale?

(prHWY.com) June 27, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- Getting a home loan in this current economy is almost like pulling teeth. Perfectly qualified individuals are being denied a chance at home ownership because the larger bank institutes believe they don't qualify for a loan - until now.

A recently discussed government program would open up the FHA loan process to certain individuals who agreed to either build or purchase previously built condos and homes in certain areas. Under this soon-to-be releases program individuals will have a choice of purchasing homes using an FHA loan in the area known as Area 51.

"We are unsure why the government wants to start selling land that is near what is called Area 51", said real estate agent, Todd Gray. "We were contacted by a representative for the government about two months ago and be proposed this plan. He said the government has a desire to sell land near Area 51 and he wasn't sure why."

Area 51 has been the source of many conspiracy theories and alien UFO stories. The government has fiercely denied its existence until sometime in 2003. This recent idea to sell land and homes near it seems to be a new direction for the government.

"The homes that are up for sale really aren't in Area 51", explained Gray. "That would be impossible at is a government military base. However, these homes are as close as you can get to the area safely and without pre-approved government authorization."

Gray and his associates at the real estate firm believe that this could be a step in the right direction and a way to boost home sales in the area. Currently, home sales are at an all-time low and this encouragement to get people to live near such a highly publicized area might just be the trick the area needs.

"I do foresee a lot of individuals coming out to look at homes that are just trying to get close to Area 51", said Gray. "I'm sure some of them have no intention of buying a home, while others could be alien hunters who just want to see if the rumors are true. I plan on treating every inquiry the same and will show every person who asks if this program launches."

The program hasn't officially launched, but anonymous sources within the Housing and Urban Development offices say it could be as soon as 2013 that the program is rolled out.
