(prHWY.com) July 17, 2012 - Chicago, AL -- Goalkeeping is traditionally thought of as a skill that can only be developed through the enrollment and attendance of goalkeeping camps. There are numerous college soccer scholarships out there each year, and kids pursue them with a real passion. Yet, goalkeeping camps don't necessarily do the trick. These camps only last one week, and then they are completely finished. Two goalkeeping coaches, Jeff Shuk and Alex Lubyansky, have offered a more year-round solution. The online goalkeeping academy found at
http://keeperasylum.com is a lifelong program, providing around the clock contact with nationally certified goalkeeping instructors.
"Goalkeeping camps have a place, but they are too temporary... and often only financially drive," says Shuk. The Keeper Asylum seeks to take young goalkeepers and arm them with the knowledge and training to become college and professional keepers. But it takes a more long-term approach. "We only release a handful of activities each month, along with a training calendar. That keeps our keepers from taking any shortcuts," explains Shuk.
After each training activity, the goalkeeping education continues at
http://keeperasylum.com. A social network filled with keepers from around the world brings the students together. Shuk and Lubyansky are on there at all times as well, answering any questions that arise. "A learning experience is never unique, others can apply that same knowledge," says Shuk.
Founded in 2010, the Keeper Asylum has produces numerous Division I and professional goalkeepers. The site offers countless goalkeeping articles, instructional videos, podcasts, soccer IQ builders and the total immersion program.
