(prHWY.com) July 23, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- Operatives at the private security firm of Hatchet and Sons Company are used to the occasional virtual security threat. It is estimated that every month people from around the world try to gain access to the valuable information stored at Hatchet and Sons Company.

"We have estimated that on a daily basis we fend off at least 50 cyber-attacks and at least 20 malicious downloads that could leave our company defenseless if properly handled", said security chief, Edward Stark. "Normally we keep a close eye on our virtual servers which is why the addition of a Windows VPS hosting server was such a surprise."

Late last month Hatchet and Sons Company noticed that their internal server and network was showing a recent VPS network. This VPS network was working off of the internal server that ran the company's main Internet and inter-network servers.

"We didn't really know where it was coming from", said Stark. "In fact, we thought it was a hoax or a bug on the server's part, because we weren't noticing anything internally. We tried everything from tracing the origin of the network, to contacting customer support."

The VPS network didn't appear to be uploading or downloading anything. All activity even on this newly added VPS server could be traced and watched closely from the main account. It wasn't until the end of June that activity started to happen on the VPS hosting service.

"We noticed some activity late in the month", explained Stark. "We noticed people were starting to run internal searches for alien related files. People were looking for alien abductions, alien sightings, anything we had in relation to aliens. I don't know why they thought we had that type of information."

It appears as if a recent Internet rumor may have sparked this interest in alien files. The rumor stated that Hatchet and Sons Company had recently entered into a 1.5 million dollar contract with the United States government. That contract required the company to keep safe valuable information regarding life on other planets.

"The government does everything and anything to keep us from knowing what is really and truly out there", said blogger T-Xreme. "We must try to find out what is going on and this new contract is the best way we can. We strike Hatchet and Sons Company when they are week."

Hatchet and Sons Company says nothing of value was taken, and that they currently cannot discuss any clients they may or may not have.
