(prHWY.com) July 31, 2012 - New York, FL -- When Nicole Snow, president of Darn Good Yarn, Inc, was looking for an assistant to help with the day-to-day tasks, she knew that she not only wanted help... but wanted to give it as well.

"Darn Good Yarn is built around helping the women of Nepal and India support their families," Snow explained. "But, that doesn't mean it should end at their border-- making a positive impact is my goal."

Snow, who had an entrepreneurial spirit since birth, decided she wanted to help foster that same spirit in a young person who could benefit through a "paid mentorship."

"I had support when I was younger... but there are times I wish I had a true mentor to guide me on the entrepreneurial path," Snow reminisces. "I knew that I wanted to be that mentor for a new teenager. They could get a job while learning truly useful information that would help them be successful down the road."

While looking through applicants, one in particular stood out to Snow because of her passion for business and hard work--Tia T. Over the months they worked together, she continuously proved to Snow that, in a world where most businesses fail, she had the character to run a thriving business.

In July of 2012, Tia came to Snow with a conundrum: She had been accepted to a business camp for the summer, but needed to find a way to pay for it.

"A talent and personality like Tia's is, literally, one in a million," explained Snow. "I was not going to let money get in the way of her polishing the skills she will use to be successful. I told her I would pay whatever she needed to go to the camp."

Now, back from the camp, Tia is excited about not only everything she learned, but about how far Darn Good Yarn's helpful hand is.

"The camp was an amazing experience and I am so happy I went," smiles Tia. "It's just amazing to see how Darn Good Yarn makes an impact globally. I'm so glad to be a part of it!"
