Help Fight Childhood Obesity with Columbus Ink Foundation
Childhood Obesity is becoming an epidemic in America and Columbus Ink Foundation is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and their families.
(prHWY.com) May 31, 2010 - Los Angeles, CA -- On Saturday, June 5th, 2010 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm Pico Athletic Club will host an amazing event to bring much needed awareness to this problem facing all families. The event will be held at the gym's new facility at 8591 W. Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90035.
There is a war going on in America and Columbus Ink Foundation is ready for the fight. Studies show that our children are getting fatter and unhealthy. The First Lady Michelle Obama has some good ideas: get kids moving, cut out the junk food and get them interested in eating fresh, nourishing food -- last year she planted a vegetable garden at the White House with the help of some youngsters. But the biggest change has to come by educating the parents, many of whom are overweight themselves. They are they ones to carry the mantle if our children have a chance at success so our focus must be on them take the lead.

It will be an evening of food, drinks, silent auction, raffles, special surprises, gift bags and entertainment. Sponsors for the event include LP Entertainment, Aveeno, Milani Cosmetics, Aquage, Function Water, Pitt Bull Energy Bar, Savyon Cafe, Tickled Pink,Wanda Strawn, Soul Burgers, Cosmetic Laser Works, Allyson Alanna Jewelry.
