(prHWY.com) August 7, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- Chiropractors in Federal Way, Washington, are excited about a proposal for a press campaign that will capitalize on the city's greatest strengths. Representatives of the local timber and water amusement park industry will team up with resident Olympians and other sports greats to help publicize Federal Way's array of chiropractic businesses.

"Federal Way gets overshadowed by the larger cities on either side - Seattle to the north and Tacoma to the south," says Dan Hacker, president of the city's association of chiropractors. "We serve a client base that stretches across the entire Puget Sound, including many employees of Microsoft, Boeing, and other major corporate presences in the region, but most people are not aware of that."

Weir Houser, the largest private owner of softwood timber properties on the planet, keeps its corporate headquarters in Federal Way. In contrast, White Waters Theme Park and Magic Town, which feature more than 60 amusement rides spread across at least 70 acres, draw millions to the city each year.

Local chiropractors put together an advertising campaign that highlights Federal Way's attractions and celebrities. Cameras will follow resident sports greats like former Olympic speed skaters Autono Bono and J.R. Tellsme, through Weir Houser's Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection, as well as the company's Rhododendron Species Foundation and Botanical Garden.

"I've always loved Federal Way," says Bono, who was born in the town and has lived there all his life. Bono may also appear in ads sponsored by the Federal Way chiropractic association in which he slides down the "Lumberjack Falls" water slide at White Waters.

Though client confidentiality rules prevent the naming of specific names, Federal Way chiropractors assert that many current and former sports professionals have used their services over the years. Corporate offices in the city keep local practices on retainer to attend to sudden aches and pains among their staff. Healing Hacks and Lively Chiropractic Health Center are among the local practitioners that hold such contracts.

The campaign will also feature many retired professional baseball players who make their home in Federal Way, including Floyd Rawmus, relief pitcher for the Seattle Terriers, the St. Louis Ordinals, and the Houston Gastros. Another player who has agreed to participate in the campaign is Han Willner, who pitched in the major leagues for the Cleveland Engines, the San Diego Cadres, and the Chicago Lite Docks between 1974 and 1985.

Trudy Fenkster, mayor of Federal Way, says the city government is happy to endorse the marketing campaign. "Federal Way chiropractic services are an integral part of our city's business community, and we like the way they've stepped up to put together this drive," Fenkster said.
