www.presspahn.com would like to remind customers that ITW Formex Flame retardant materials provide superior electrical insulation in industrial and consumer electronic equipment. The material is available in rolls, sheets and panels and can be easily fabricated in to a wide range of shapes.
FORMEX and FORMEX GK (or GK-BK) are flame retardant grades of polypropylene, extruded into sheet and primarily used for their electrical insulation properties. These materials meet the insulation requirements from most application due to their high dielectric strength (1460 V/mil @ 17 mil thick), low moisture absorption (lower than 0.1%) and UL 94-V-0 flame class rating. Polypropylene provides exceptional scoring and bending characteristics resulting in superior folded parts.
Formex, the high performance insulating barrier, absorbs less moisture than other barrier materials resulting in superior performance, it has a moisture Absorption of 1700V/mil at (18 mil), V-0 Rated, has excellent scoring and die-cutting characteristics and is available in either White or Black.
