(prHWY.com) August 16, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- Landing a role at a casting call can be a challenging experience for any young actor or actress, but a local actor who showed up with umbrellas to his audition claims that it was the easiest experience he ever had. Kent Lee, an aspiring actor in the area, was so dedicated to making it to his audition, he even attended during the worst rainstorm in the history of the city.

"The only way that you can get a role in one of these castings is if you continually attend the auditions and callbacks when you get them. I just happened to get one during one of the worst storms in the area, but I wasn't going to let that stop me," says Kent.

For most auditions, it's fairly common that individuals are told to show up in the most suitable style related to their role. It's important to make an impression on the managers of the project by looking the best and being the most professional. For many of the actors and actresses which had shown up to the audition that day, it was a challenging feat because they had been on their way to the audition when the storm arrived, putting them at a disadvantage since they had no umbrellas available.

When Kent arrived, he noticed that he was surrounded by a group of other actors and actresses that would be his competition. Yet, the one factor that ensured Kent was noticed by the producers came unexpectedly. All of the actors and actresses in the room were soaking wet, except for Kent, who had come with two separate umbrellas to ensure he could keep dry on his way to the audition.

"Basically, we were all standing together in that room, waiting to be chosen and have our chance to audition. After around 30 minutes of waiting, a producer called me in for my audition. I gave them my best and then came the feedback.
They basically told me that they liked my work, but that one of the main factors that helped me to get notice was that I arrived completely dry, while all of the other actors were soaking wet," Kent added.

After accepting the role for the project, Kent offered one of his extra umbrellas to one of the other actors that was about to audition next.
