The recently concluded seminar at SSBM was an off shoot of the on-going ambitious Vision-2020 plan suggested by the SP Gupta committee to the government of India for the betterment of the banking industry. The speakers included Mr. Ajay Banerjee, Chief General Manager Bank of Maharashtra, Mr. Amit Kumar, Senior Executive Vice President, HDFC Bank Ltd, Mr. Malla V. Raman Murthy, Executive Director, The Royal Bank of Scotland, and many more stalwarts from the industry.
The students of SSBM had an excellent opportunity to learn the intricacies of the banking sector and the role that they are expected to play as future managers. The lectures positively provoked the thought process of the students to analyse the banking sector.
