New Ebook Discusses Eating Like Paleolithic People
30 Minute Paleo Diet Expert in this short book discusses the main aspects of Paleolithic nutrition, therapeutic effects, lifestyle and its distinct differences.
(prHWY.com) September 12, 2012 - New York, NY -- It's so easy even a caveman can do it. At least that's the premise behind a new ebook from nutritionist Michael Sullivan.

Reviews so far are positive with a 4.9 star ranking in the Amazon system.

"I think the paleo diet is wonderful, so rich with choice, and so easy to follow. This book also covers why we as humans suffer bad diets now, and bad health. Different lifestyle choices, convenience of the car (as opposed to walking everywhere before cars), all these things contribute to why we haven't done so well with our weight and overall health," wrote S Black.

Written in clear, simple language, the paleo book is aimed at people who are interested in returning to a simpler diet. Processed foods are eliminated as are some staples of moodier life.

"My goal in this book is to show people they can eat healthy and still enjoy food," Mr. Sullivan said. "Research into the life of the Paleolithic man has shown what foods were available and what they likely ate. The human body evolved and adapted to that kind of diet over the millennia."

The food people typically eat today has only been around for less than 200 years with a few exceptions. Mr. Sullivan pointed to milk as one product which has been around for thousands of years, but it's still something he recommends avoiding.

"But by and large the stuff to be avoided is recent. Look at the label on a soft drink container. Most of the ingredients there have been in our foods for less than 100 years," he said. "The human body is just not designed to digest things like potassium sorbate. While potassium is an essential element, if you eat right you get plenty of it."

The Paleo diet includes some unexpected health benefits too. Mr. Sullivan said many people who try it find their allergy problems are far less severe and skin problems can clear up.

"Why? You are getting rid of artificial additives in food. You are getting rid of substances your body does not know how to process and deal with. Since your body doesn't know what to do, it reacts in odd ways," he said.
