(prHWY.com) March 4, 2011 - Mumbai, India -- Mumbai, 4th March, 2011: ECube Global College having a transparent and strategic association with Newcastle University offers twining programmes in India in various courses in Engineering. Students will be completing their first year of the Engineering course with ECube Global in India in May 2011 and will proceed to the University for the second and third years in September, 2011.

Dr. John Terry, Head of the International Office at Newcastle University, came to India on 24th Feb, 2011 to meet his students in advance and to reassure them that their transition to the University will be smooth and seamless. He has assured that the students can arrive at the University up to one month before their semester begins. They will be taken around campus, given additional lectures to acquaint them to the teaching procedures, will be introduced to the culture of Newcastle and guaranteed campus accommodations.

Dr. John Terry also added that Newcastle University is ranked among the top 20 universities in UK with nearly 4000 international students taking admission every year. The International Student Barometer, 2010, ranked Newcastle University as 2nd in the world for their excellent Careers Service whilst the 2011 Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey saw Newcastle University rise 7 places to 13th in the UK.
The students' library at Newcastle, known as The Robinson Library, has 1 million plus books and an extensive online catalogue of publications. It has been awarded the national charter mark for excellence in customer service for 5 times in a row. Online services can be accessed by ECube Global College students during their first year of their courses in India.

"This seminar was organized for the students because the lure of the far-off land, the thrill of crossing the seven seas, the dream of studying in a foreign university is still very much sought after by many Indian students. Those who pursue their academic dreams overseas should be mentally prepared to take on responsibility for all aspects of their lives'," said Mr. Sandeep Goenka, Director, ECube Global College.

When asked about their association with ECube Global and the recent incident on foreign visas to the USA, Dr. John Terry added, 'The credibility of the universities can be easily verified on the internet. With regards to ECube Global College, we have recognized our association with them on the university India pages. Also, we are pleased to acknowledge the commitment and sincerity of the college in handling the students, our curriculum as well as the association." said Dr. John Terry, Head of the International Office, Newcastle University. "As part of our commitment to the association, Newcastle University has placed a member of Academic Staff from the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering in ECube on a permanent basis" added Dr Terry.

The University is expecting a majority of the ECube Global students to arrive for their second year of their respective courses on the 5th of September. Bearing the concept of "travel with your friends" in mind, the college is ensuring that the group travels and chooses accommodation in such a way that at least 3 to 4 of their batch-mates will always be together. This instills a sense of confidence and belonging in the students and will help them adapt faster to the new environment, culture and people.
