This trek offers an excellent opportunity to climb a Himalayan summit at 6173 metres together with an exhilarating trek to Everest Base Camp (5357 metres) and Kala Pattar (5554 metres). To climb Island Peak, you need to be physically fit as the ascent involves a strenuous climb and some technical climbing to cross a mixed rock and ice wall at a slope of around 45° leading onto to its narrow summit ridge.
