(prHWY.com) September 21, 2012 - Ghaziabad, India -- Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad brought the world to India when it hosted the Global Business School Network (GBSN) conference in Delhi this year.

Delegates from 37 countries ranging from the U.K., U.S.A., France and Switzerland to Denmark, South Africa, Nigeria and Nepal attended.

"This is an important and unique opportunity on an issue that is relevant to the whole world - how does management education empower development," Dr. Bibek Banerjee, Director, IMT Ghaziabad, said. "In an effort to keep pace with the changes that are happening in India, IMT has developed and nurtured a number of new and unique partnerships and programs across the globe."

IMT's program of globalization is growing by leaps and bounds with the institute signing several memorandums of understanding, including three in one day: a joint MBA with ISS, Hamburg, Germany; a student and faculty exchange program with Copenhagen Business School and the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) with Grenoble Ecole de Management, France and .

"This first-of-its kind degree program in India (the DBA) will give the executive talent here an opportunity to leverage their rich and deep experience at work to obtain a globally renowned doctoral degree without having to leave their jobs in India," said Dr. Banerjee.

"We want to take IMT Ghaziabad to a new level," Dr. Jayanthi Ranjan, Chairperson of the International Relations Committee, said. "Our recent tie-ups include one with Sampoorna School of Business, Indonesia. IMT Ghaziabad students will go to Jakarta or Malaysia for six months of rigorous internships, where the Sampoorna students will work as cultural buddies to support them. They will gain a cross-cultural business understanding into micro finance, agri-business and marketing."

The curriculum at IMT has gone through a major shift, designed to make the students global managers and 2012 will see the B-School's new India Depth, Global Breadth curriculum come into force.

As part of its effort to give students global exposure, in addition to student exchanges, IMT Ghaziabad brings in top international professors as visiting faculty members and lecturers.

Prof. Jaroslaw Godyn, a human relations expert, taught students HR is an integral aspect of an industry; that managing people in an organization needs expertise and is not just a simple matter of hiring and firing people.

And international faculty member, Dr. Brigid Milner, also an HR management expert, said, "The provision of a common first year which includes the key business subjects coupled with a range of industry-relevant second-year specialist HR modules ensures that IMT HR graduates are well-prepared to assume this 'business partner' role."
