The author, James Best, (a pseudonym), is a lawyer with international connections, who sold his three practices to write. The Secret Agenda is his second novel. He has won prizes for his writing. On a personal level, Best has four sons and lives in South Wales, UK, with his second wife and youngest son, though he has property in Spain and from time to time escapes to his villa to write. He enjoys mystical studies and travels extensively.
