Discover how to get rid of those ugly moles and skin tags. Natural mole and skin tag removal method that actually works.
(prHWY.com) October 2, 2012 - New Cty, NY -- In this article you will find all sorts of information regarding moles, skin tags and warts. These are all blemishes that can appear on your skin, and they all have varying effects on your health and well-being.
Moles
These blemishes will appear on anyone's skin no matter what their creed may be. You might be reading this and think "I don't have any". This may be true as you have not reached an age yet where you are more likely to develop them. It could also be that you do in fact have a mole somewhere on your body but it's the same color as your skin. If this is the case, you should just have a quick check to see if you have any small bumps on your skin that are the same color as this could be a mole.
Are They Harmful to my Health?
Moles, for the most part are not harmful to your health but all moles have the ability to turn on you. This is because they can start to develop cancerous cells. If this happens, you could be showing early signs of a skin cancer called Melanoma. In the most extreme cases, this will mean a
natural mole removal. If you think you have moles that are potentially harmful, go to see your doctor. This is the best way to make sure you are not suffering the early signs of melanoma.
Skin Tags
Unlike moles, skin tags are not in the least bit harmful, the very most they will do is become an annoyance, and in the most extreme cases they can become inflamed and painful if they're constantly rubbed against clothing or jewelry. You will know if you have a skin tag as a small lump of tissue will form on the surface of your skin, and when it is fully grown, it will develop a stalk so that it hangs away from your body. This is why they can get caught up in your clothing.
How to Treat Skin Tags
There are numerous ways to get rid of skin tags and this will all depend on how many you have or if they are annoying you. Do remember that insurance companies often do not cover the removal of skin tags because they are not harmful to your health. If you want to remove your skin tag yourself, there are a couple of methods you can use.
The first is to make a mixture of baking powder and castor oil. This should be done in such a way that it has a paste like consistency. When you have the mixture ready, spread it over the skin tag and cover with a band-aid. You can leave this overnight and let the ingredients get to work on destroying your tag. When morning arrives, remove the band-aid and make sure you clean the area. You can repeat this procedure as many times as it takes to kill the tag off. Some report this takes a few days and others report it has taken longer, so it may not be the quickest method you can use.
Tying skin tags is also a popular home remedy and this is really easy to do. All you need is a length of fine cotton or dental-floss. I happen to think dental-floss is better because it's stronger. Tie the floss around the base of the tag and leave it. If you tie it tightly enough, the tag will not receive its blood source. This means it will shrivel up and die. Again, this can take a few days to happen but this method is trusted by many.
Warts
Warts are hard lumps of tissue that can appear almost anywhere on the body. However, they are more common on the hands, elbows and feet. If you get a wart on the sole of your foot, this is referred to as a "plantar wart" or verruca. The human strain of the papillomavirus is thought to be the cause of warts. Whilst many people live with this virus without even knowing it, it is in fact very contagious and can live for long periods of time without a host.
It loves to hide in moist places such as a shower tray. If you stand on an area in bare feet where this virus is and have even the smallest lesion in your skin, you will get this virus. This means you will be susceptible to warts and once you have the virus, it will never go away as there is currently no cure for it.
Treatment of Warts
There are a few things you can do when looking at the removal of warts, you could go to see your doctor if you have a lot of them and he will be able to recommend a procedure to suit you. If you only have one or two warts you can buy over the counter creams that will help to remove them. As warts grow on the surface of your skin (as oppose to starting beneath the skin and then breaking through), many creams are very effective at getting rid of them.
There are home remedies that can help with getting rid of warts and listed below are a few I have come across:
Tea Tree Oil - This liquid is well-known for having many healing properties and is often used to treat burns. This is powerful stuff so you won't need much, just dip a cotton bud into the oil and spread it over the wart several times each day.
Apple Cider Vinegar and Lemon Slices - You can soak these in with each other and add a little salt. Be prepared to wait for this one, it will take 2 weeks for the mixture to be ready. Once it is, you can wipe the lemon slices over your wart and it should disappear in no time at all.
This is just a little bit of information on moles, skin tags and warts. If you are worried in anyway, go to see your doctor.
