(prHWY.com) October 11, 2012 - New York, NY -- As a keen animal rights activist
Pamela Chiesi believes that humans do not have any right to capture and confine any animal and torture them in the name of entertainment. Animals in captivity in fact suffer from stress and nothing is comparable to their freedom in their natural habitat. Surplus animals in zoos are sold to circuses, canned hunting facilities and even for slaughter. She is of the view that if people want to see wildlife they can do it in the wild or visit a sanctuary.
Imprisoning animals for human enjoyment is unacceptable and zoos are teaching the opposite of that to children. Sanctuaries naturalize wildlife and take in unwanted exotic pets, without breeding, buying and selling animals like zoos do.
Pamela Chiesi feels the need of a strong Animal Welfare Act to ensure the safety of animals including the endangered species that are kept in zoological gardens.
Pamela currently lives in New York City where she supports wide array of regional animal welfare causes. She is the proud mother of two beautiful and highly motivated daughters and strives to run shelters for poor homeless animals on the streets that are treated mercilessly.
