(prHWY.com) October 15, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- Moving pods have been carefully crafted to be able to move people's valuable items from one location to another. What people don't realize is that these moving pods are not designed to withstand water submersion, which is why one company is creating an underwater version to the standard moving pod.

"People often think that their items are safe from things such as winds, rain and snow when they use a traditional moving pod", said Frank Gallows, creator of the Pod Proof. "What they don't realize is that if that moving pod were to become submerged under water, all the items would be gone. Everything would be a total loss."

The Pod Proof is a waterproof tight compartment that stores all items in a box that looks like the traditional moving pod. The difference with the Pod Proof is that it has been designed to protect all the items in water depths up to 500 feet.

"This means that this pod could fall into a lake, river, stream or something and still all the contents would be safe", said Gallows. "However, that isn't really why I invented it. There were other reasons."

The biggest reason Gallows invented the Pod Proof was to help people who lived in flood prone areas. Many people lose a lot of their belongings when a flood hits an area. The Pod Proof would help people not only protect their goods from the floods, but save them a lot of time.

"Last flood season I saw people trekking back and forth to get their goods because they didn't want them lost or damaged by the flood", said Gallows. "This time they could just rent one of these moving pods and be able to move everything they want to keep. It really would be a time and life saver."

Gallows currently has over 20 Pod Proof available for rental. The rental price is only 4% more than the traditional moving pods. All pods have gone through hundreds of tests to make sure that they don't allow any water to leak into the area.

"I want people to know that their items will be guaranteed to stay warm and dry", said Gallows. "I test every moving pod on my own even though they go through testing in a lab. I want to make sure that these things work like they say they do."

Gallows plans on adding another 20 moving pods to his rental business within the next four months.
