Experts says even the property values will decline if the crime problem is not solved at Hamlyn's condominium
(prHWY.com) November 3, 2012 - Ontario, Canada -- Ottawa, Ontario -- With the extreme column of this well know daily I would like to draw your attention towards Harry Hamlyn, who is a 91-year old victim of crime. Harry Hamlyn, who fought in the Second World War, had his mobility scooter stolen from the gated underground parking lot of his Steveston condo. Hamlyn doesn't have a replacement scooter. The garage from where Hamlyn's electric scooter was stolen still doesn't have any video cameras, and such incidents at this garage happen regularly, because of "security loopholes". So, Hamlyn has to take the bus, with his "walker" stand, to get groceries from Steveston Village's grocery market. Anyone with information on Hamlyn's scooter should contact Richmond RCMP on 604 278 1212.
The thefts, and criminal incidents, at Hamlyn's condominium have been regular and continuous. The web camera is now become necessary for the people safety in that place but the concern authority is totally indifferent. In spite of the number of people asking for security video cameras on Westwater Views condominiums, the condominium's Strata Council, surprisingly, refused an offer of free video cameras. Yet, this Strata Council omitted the "free camera offer" in its September report to condominium owners.
People who live in Hamlyn's condominium as well as people from neighboring condominiums all suggest that Westwater Views obtain security cameras. The postie says that crimes in Hamlyn's condos have been going on for 20 years and demonstrated a $250 video solution. Besides just property crimes, now people feared from personal safety in this incident
Experts say "There are criminal incidents in the area surrounding Hamlyn's condo." Experts also talks about a "whistleblower" that open illegal drug dealing at a Steveston-area bus stop. There are opinions on Facebook and elsewhere on the Internet, including one from a person who claims to be a policeman, with guesses that Bonnie is an addict who is letting criminals into the strata. Yet, the strata council continues to let Bonnie handle garage security matters. Realtor Andy Urban with a unit for sale at Westwater Views, and opines that property values will decline if the crime problem is not solved.
