Computational mathematics covers activities that devise computing and its significance in developing algorithms that form the basis of most of the engineering, scientific and medical applications.

The progress of applied mathematics has led to the evolution of computational mathematics. It involves study of mathematical principles, which in turn, aid the mathematical research related to sciences.

Statistical theory and the underlying principles of probability and decision theory are also part of the applied mathematics.

OMICS Journal of Applied and Computational Mathematics aims at making the studies on computational and mathematical approach freely available for learners under the Common Access policy, based on Bethesda statement. Several editors are associated with this journal, and the journal has been approved by a minimum of two reviewers before publication.
