Danube Welfare Centre (DWC) to Help Boost Job Opportunities for Laborers in UAE
Danube Welfare Centre (DWC) is established with a vision to develop and upgrade the skillsets of blue-collared individuals with formal training and assistance.

Khaled Al Kamda, Director General, Community Development Authority, Dubai officially inaugurated Danube Welfare Centre (DWC), a free training centre for the blue-collared workers in the UAE. The inauguration ceremony was also graced by Dr. Omar Al Muthanna, Chief Executive Officer, Regulatory & Licensing Department, Community Development Authority, Dubai; Mrs. Saher Shaikh Founder of Adopt-A-Camp, Mr. Rajesh Duggal, Indian Consulate, Labour Affairs, Mr. Kirti Chakma, Bangladesh Consulate, Mr. Amjad Khan Omar, Sri Lankan Consulate, Labor Welfare and higher officials from Dubai Cares.

As UAE continues to show steady signs of recovery; an increase in demand for blue-collared workers in the country is on a high. However, most of these hard working laborers yearn for a way to climb the lucrative corporate ladder. *

To address the challenges faced by these individuals, Danube, the leader in construction, building materials and shop fitting industries has designed a social initiative called the Danube Welfare Centre (DWC). The Welfare Centre aims to provide formal training and assistance to the trainees qualifying them to meet the demands of the labour market.

The primary objective in establishing this centre is to provide official training for the skilled & unskilled workers and make a difference in their lives", said Mr. Rizwan Sajan, Founder & Chairman of Danube Group. With the launch of the Welfare Centre, every individual will have an opportunity to obtain a meaningful employment and achieve maximum potential." He added.

Conveniently located at Karama, Danube Welfare Centre (DWC) is established to develop and upgrade the skillsets of blue-collared individuals. The Welfare Centre will offer a 3 day training program to a batch of 15-20 participants from diverse nationalities free of cost. The Welfare Centre will also provide training in Communication Skills, Personality Development, Interview Skills, Building Self Confidence and Developing Positive Attitude, Language Training and Danube's Comprehensive Program.

Moreover, the trainees will also receive life skills training on issues such as workforce readiness, community engagement, and strategies to become self-sufficient. The Welfare Centre will also serve as a model to improve the lifestyle of the blue-collared workers ensuring boost in confidence of the trainees, effective communication, thorough grooming and better standards of hygienic living. The training will be tailored to meet the needs of the individuals and will include a special focus on development of their CVs.

The enrolment process at Danube Welfare Centre (DWC) includes registration, background and history verification of trainees. Upon identifying training needs and analysing the development period of participants, different training programs will be implemented which include communication skills, grooming, building self-confidence and interview skills along with a basic course in Arabic Language.
