Beverage Consortium- A Way to Reduce Blood Pressure
More on wine news as everageconsortium.com introduces a new solution for people with high-blood pressure through non-alcoholic red wine.
(prHWY.com) November 14, 2012 - New York City, NY -- What's new in the world of beverage news is the fact that people can actually curb their high-blood pressure issues by consuming non-alcoholic red wine. If consumed in small amounts on a regular basis, non-alcoholic red wine tends to reduce the blood pressure levels within an individual by improving the blood flow within vessels. This also leads to the relaxation of vessel walls along with an increase in the blood's nitric oxide levels.

According to this beverage news, recently conducted research has shown that red wine consumption is greatly helpful in reducing the level of pressure existing within the blood vessels. These elevated levels of blood pressure could lead to severe maladies like hypertension. Therefore, keeping the pressure in-control is crucial for human health.

The wine news came around when an experiment was conducted on around 70 males whose ages ranged between 55 and 80. And all of these males were either diabetic or suffering from cardiovascular problems. Each person was given a daily dose of non-alcoholic red wine weighing ten ounces. The non-alcoholic red wine was sometimes replaced with three ounces of gin. The experiment lasted four weeks with a daily consumption of red wine or gin consumed at various instances.

On average, researchers noted that the systolic pressure of the test subjects was reduced by 6 points leading to a twenty percent reduced chance of having a heart stroke. Levels of nitric oxide in the blood increased when subjects consumed non-alcoholic red wine, but no apparent changes were seen on gin consumption.
