The 2012 Cayman R has a 3.4-liter flat-6 engine that produces 330 horsepower. This is a gain of 10 horsepower as compared to the Cayman S. The Cayman R engine produces 273 pound-feet of torque at 4,750 rpm. This vehicle with the standard six-speed manual transmission weighs 2,885 pounds which is a drop of 121 pounds from the already lightweight Cayman S. This hardtop vehicle is only 44 pounds higher in weight than the Boxster Spyder.
Many
Cherry Hill Porsche buyers will choose to add the optional ceramic brakes, Sports Chrono package, and seven-speed dual-clutch Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) with its manual and automatic modes.
