A partnership has been formed between Lexus and MOG music network
(prHWY.com) April 18, 2011 - Bridgewater, NJ -- Many Lexus Morris customers are pleased with the partnership between Lexus and MOG music network. Lexus is working in conjunction with MOG to discover an emerging indie artist while they promote their new premium hybrid, the CT 200h.
MOG is a music aggregator of over 1500 music websites. Their mission is to "Discover people through music and music through people." This company utilizes shared music, blogs, and reviews to encourage the interaction of musicians and fans.
Lexus hopes to reach new customers who might be interested in their CT 200h hybrid vehicle through their MOG partnership by sponsoring events and through branded digital content about indie artists and their music. Lexus VP of marketing, Dave Nordstrom, said, "Through the MOG platform we are able to provide rich content and engage potential customers through music and music discovery." The partnership includes a search for an emerging indie artist, placement of a Lexus widget over the entire MOG music network, and placement of QR barcodes in Lexus ads placed in well-known music magazines. Many Morris used cars are able to listen to the music that camera phones can use to access free MP3 downloads via the QR codes. Lexus also sponsored the March 19th unofficial MOG party at the Austin, Texas South by Southwest Music Festival which featured a number of music acts.
