Lawyer Wins Landmark 15,000 SSI Disability Case
The road to earning an SSI disability check isn't always easy. It is estimated that over 75% of all SSI disability cases are declined the first time an individual applies.
(prHWY.com) November 22, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- The road to earning an SSI disability check isn't always easy. It is estimated that over 75% of all SSI disability cases are declined the first time an individual applies. When people are denied SSI disability benefits they turn to lawyers like John Appleton.

John Appleton has been working on SSI disability cases for the past 20 years. This recent SSI disability case marks his astounding 15,000 win.

"I fight for those who are unable to fight for themselves", said John Appleton. "These people all paid into the system. It is unfortunate that our government denies them the benefits they deserve. Each case I take is handpicked. I am proud to have helped over 15,000 people get the money they rightly deserve."

There is no Guinness Book of World Records for number of court cases won or even SSI disability cases, but if there were John Appleton would be sure to win the award. He has represented over 15,500 individuals and won 15,000 cases. This recent case marks an astounding number of cases.

"My colleagues always joke that they will see my name in a book for holding the world record for cases won", said John Appleton. "I always laugh it off. It wasn't until my secretary pointed out that I had reached 15,000 cases that I was astounded by it. It feels like 500 to be honest."

When asked what John Appleton plans on doing with this landmark victory the answer was astounding.

"What I would love to do with this landmark victory is to fight for the rights of individuals", said Appleton. "I don't think people should have to fight for their disability checks. Many of these cases were clear cut cases of people who were disabled by no fault of their own. They shouldn't have had to fight the government two or three times to get a yes. It should come naturally."

John Appleton also has some rather unique plans for after his victory that don't have anything to do with work. He plans on doing what most people do when they win something.

"I plan on taking my grandkids to Disney World. I haven't been there in years", said Appleton. "I think it would be a great way for my family and everyone to bond. I can't think of celebrating this victory any other way."

John Appleton and his family are planning on taking their family vacation sometime in the summer of 2013.
