Jamey Noel Recounts Years of Service and Promotions

(prHWY.com) December 5, 2012 - Jeffersonville, IN -- Jamey Noel knows that his promotions didn't come without a lot of work and effort. Along with working hard, a good educational foundation also helped lay the groundwork for Jamey Noel's continuing path of success. While his career success can be contributed to both his hardworking nature and his education, Jamey Noel knows that he would not have the career he has today if he had not made the decisions he had.

Jamey Noel's career as a public servant first began in 1987 when he began work for Utica Township Fire & EMS. His first promotion came in 1991 when Jamey Noel took the position of Assistant Chief. Two years later in 1993, Jamey Noel was promoted to the position of Chief. It was also in 1993 that Jamey Noel completed Indiana State Police Academy.
"While I was beginning my career in law enforcement I was continuing my career as Chief of Utica Township's Fire & EMS," says Jamey Noel. Jamey Noel's career in law enforcement began as a State Trooper. However, before long he became Undercover Detective. In 1995, Jamey Noel was part of IDEA undercover narcotics operation.

Jamey Noel made the very important decision to return to school and further his academic studies. He attended Indiana University Southeast and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Supervision. This opened the door for further career growth for Jamey Noel: "There is good reason why people say education opens doors. Without receiving training from the State Police Academy or without my degree, I probably would not be Assistant District Commander today," he has said.

Jamey Noel received three more promotions after becoming Undercover Detective. He was promoted to Corporal and then promoted to the position of Sergeant. However, his most recent promotion in August of 2011 promoted him to First Sergeant. After Jamey Noel was promoted to First Sergeant, it became his duty to serve as Assistant District Commander Indiana Police Department. Jamey Noel serves from his Sellersburg Post, which covers five counties in Southern Indiana.
