As we move into December, students from Fullerton House School will continue to run their own market stalls at Conisborough community Christmas market - having already contributed to a similar event in Denaby.
(prHWY.com) December 5, 2012 - Doncaster, United Kingdom -- They have been contributing to these throughout November and will continue to do so up until Christmas, in a bid to raise money and become part of the festive spirit.
The youngsters at the school have been following person centred learning programmes which are tailored to meet their needs and also provide the correct educational opportunities.
As part of these educational programmes, the students will work on a series of mini enterprise schemes in which they undertake a variety of practical work based roles. These cover a wide range of rewarding and enterprising initiatives.
Some examples of what the students have been working on include bike repairs, car washing, making garden ornaments, crafts and a wide range of horticultural based production.
During the market day, to be held on December 8th, the students will be helping to sell pottery, pictures, Christmas decorations as well as all sorts of other crafts and arts. The scheme, which goes by the name of the "Fullerton Student Work Parties", ensure that youngsters are using the skills that they have acquired from community and onsite projects in order to enhance their environment and the facilities within.
Fullerton's facilities are excellent, with great craft learning areas, woodcraft, horticultural and pottery workshops all onsite.
Anyone wishing to attend the Conisborough Christmas Market and support the students can attend between the hours of 8am and 4pm on Saturday 8th December.
