(prHWY.com) December 13, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- When it comes to picking out Halloween costumes children either are dead set on a specific costume, or they have absolutely no clue what they will be. There is never an in between when it comes to costumes, which can make parents frustrated. This particular problem is exactly why one small neighborhood in northeast Ohio has come up with the idea of a neighborhood inspired Halloween.

"What we are planning on doing is this whole neighborhood inspired Halloween", said Terri Holloway, the neighborhood spokesperson. "Most of the Halloween activities will be things that the children normally engage in, but one activity will be different - the community Halloween costume ideas."

The community Halloween costume ideas will be a new addition to the neighborhood's activities. Each house that wishes to take part in the events will need to submit several Halloween costume ideas. Those ideas will then be put into a communal hat where the community will draw what they will be for Halloween.

"It sounds a little odd, but it just might work", said Holloway. "The parents won't have to pick out the costumes and children will get to dress up in different costumes. It might be a lot of fun."

In addition to the community Halloween costume ideas, there will be several events that create a unique Halloween experience for the whole neighborhood. The local community center will be creating a huge haunted house with maze.

"We will transform the whole entire community center into a haunted house", said Greg Brown, director for the community center. "We will have two different haunted houses. One for the younger children that is made up of fun, silly creatures and one that is for the older kids. That one will be a little scarier and have the whole Halloween theme."

Another new addition to the community's unique Halloween is the annual arrival of the Pumpkin King. The Pumpkin King will arrive to kick off the festivities, pass out candy, and entertain the guests.

"This is the first time we are going to incorporate the Pumpkin King into the festivities", said Holloway. "We hope to make that a huge part of the community festivities. We plan on having the Pumpkin King arrive every year and kick off the celebration. We hope that it could really draw people to the community and the area. The Pumpkin King will rule! Or so we hope!"
