Lodging

Veterans can sleep for free through B&Bs For Vets, a program that coordinates with bed and breakfasts across the nation to provide overnight stays on November 11 to former service members at no cost. This year's list of participating B&Bs has not yet been published, but Massachusetts lodgings have traditionally played a noteworthy part in the program, so keep an eye on the schedule to see which B&Bs will contribute this year.
Attractions

The National Parks System will again honor veterans this year by extending free admission to all entrants during Veterans Day weekend. Massachusetts residents, service members and citizens alike, can choose from a bevy of historic sites, including Minute Man National Historical Park, the Salem Maritime National Historic Site, and other favorites.
Battleship Cove, one of the premier attractions in southeast Massachusetts, is also pitching in to make this year's Veterans Day an extra-special one for former members of the military. Admission to Fall River maritime museum is free for veterans, who will have the opportunity to survey the largest collection of preserved U.S. Navy ships in the world at no cost. Boston Duck Tours, another Massachusetts staple, is also offering its own deal. From November 8 through November 12, veterans and their family members can hop on one of these iconic tours of the city for free.
A variety of businesses south of Boston are showing their appreciation through discounts for veterans as well. Captain John Whale Watching and Fishing Tours is offering a complimentary whale watch or fishing trip to any active duty or former military personnel during September and October. Dead of Night Ghost Tours, which leads guided walks through Burial Hill, Plymouth's oldest cemetery, has two different deals for veterans. Former service members are eligible for a $3 discount on the Twilight Lantern Ghost Tour's $13 price tag and $5 off the $20 ticket for the Twilight Lantern Combo Tour.
