The Kate Moss Show by Patrik Andersson- December 13th to January 1st
If you hear the name Kate Moss and think fashion, then you are missing out on more than just a few tidbits of fashion world trivia.
(prHWY.com) December 20, 2012 - New York, NY -- Kate Moss is one of the most famous models of the 1990's, with a prolific career that went on for over two decades, but she is far more than that.

Kate Moss is the only person since the time of the Ancient Egyptian Empire to have a gold statue made of her. It was the work of British artist Marc Quinn, and it is currently a part of the British Museum exhibition. Before posing for the 110 pound statue called Siren, she also modeled for the Buddha-like statue titled Sphinx which was also done by the same Marc Quinn.

You may not agree that being a size zero model makes Kate Moss a ravishing beauty who deserves to have statues made in her honor, but her beauty has inspired not one but two of the most prestigious artists of the day. Her pictures by Patrik Andersson may be far easier to understand when you know that he described her as "the ideal beauty of the moment".

Of course, you could argue that it is not worth going to a museum to view some photos and ponder why two prestigious artists would consider a single woman to be so beautiful, but since the photos are to be presented at EastVillage's Shervin's Café from December 13th to January 1st they are the perfect excuse to enjoy a hot cup of coffee, a glass of red wine or even a pint of beer with your friends.

Shervin's Café is only accessible to people in New York City and it is the nicest, most intimate café that you can visit in the East Village. It makes for cozy meetings with friends and romantic rendezvous any day of the year. And now that it has gotten a bit more culture with the Patrik Andersson show.

Unlike Kate Moss you would be excused for not knowing who Patrik Andersson is, but you have definitely seen some of his work. He is the photographer who made Mick Jagger look extraordinarily good when he turned 50, and he also captured other stars' images, like Orlando Bloom, Whitney Huston, Muhammad Ali, Alicia Silverstone and many others. Be sure to check out his pictures of Kevin Spacey for a side of the actor that you would have never guessed.

So, the next time you see Patrik Andersson, you can thank him for helping you to better appreciate Kate Moss, and for introducing you to the renowned Shervin's Café.
