Archer Travel Advocates More Vacation Days for U.S. Workers
Archer Travel encourages U.S. businesses to offer employees more vacation days in 2013.
(prHWY.com) December 22, 2012 - Montrose, CA -- The executive leadership team at Archer Travel is advocating for U.S. employers to extend more vacation days to their workers. The California-based travel agency, which was established in 1952, has observed how U.S. workers have been offered a declining number of vacation days in the last two decades. With an economic recession and more jobs going overseas, many U.S. workers are unlikely to take the few vacation days that are offered them.
In the United States, vacation days offered to employees in the private sector are a benefit that is not legally required. Executives at Archer Travel acknowledge that no legal action can (nor should) require businesses to offer more vacation days. However, leadership at Archer Travel hopes to see more U.S. employers increase the allotment of vacation days for workers, as well as extend vacation day benefits to a wider group of employees.
"We believe," commented an Archer Travel spokesperson, "that when employees have more vacation days, stress levels go down, productivity increases, and overall worker happiness increases. In the long run, employers who have better vacation benefits see a greater retention rate, as well as greater productivity rates."
The research to back Archer Travel's claims exists, and it seems that more companies and human resources departments are supporting it. "We think that there's going to be a big push in this direction," commented an Archer Travel spokesperson. "More and more Americans are beginning to take note of how the Europeans and the rest of the world deal with vacation time. And, as people become more interested, the research will naturally be produced to support them."
With affordable vacation packages available through Archer Travel, the company's executives believe that more vacation hours is a reasonable proposition. "In recent years," says an Archer Travel executive, "employees have been reluctant to make good use of the vacation hours available to them. Though DIY vacation-planning websites are available to everyone, most people just don't know where to begin; they think a vacation is just too expensive. We've developed unique business methods to let people know that vacation doesn't have to be expensive. It also doesn't have to be mundane, either, just because it's affordable!"
The executive leadership team at Archer Travel welcomes questions and comments about its push for U.S. employers to increase the number of available vacation days. Contact information for the California-based travel service can be found below.
