Sedgwick Announces 2011 Trial Academy Graduates

16 firm attorneys attend intensive six-day litigation 'boot camp'

San Francisco, CA ( April 25, 2011 - Sedgwick LLP is pleased to announce the graduates of our 2011 Sedgwick Trial Academy. After weeks of grueling preparation and six days of intense trial work, 16 Sedgwick lawyers graduated from the Trial Academy in April. Representing parties to an arson-insurance fraud action, the trial attorneys zealously represented their clients through in limine motions, voir dire, jury selection, opening statements, witness preparation, cross- and direct examinations, and closing statements. Working 20-hour days, the trial attorneys demonstrated the drive, passion and expertise for which Sedgwick has long been known.

"Our Trial Academy is an intense boot camp that provides our attorneys with a hands-on courtroom experience under the watchful eyes of a number of the country's finest trial lawyers. More than a century of trial experience was brought together to refine the trials skills of the class of 2011. Exceptional trial attorneys from across the firm judged, mentored, tested and trained each member of the 2011 class. During the last seven years, under the direction of Dean Bruce Wold and Director of Professional Development Vicky Berry, the Sedgwick Trial Academy has trained and graduated 116 Sedgwick trial attorneys.
